At the ‘Kulturfabrik’, ANKAA members in Luxembourg sold various products made in ANKAA: handmade wooden items, clothes, accessories, photographs, macramé and jewellery items, screenprinted notebooks and totebags.

 ANKAA’s active members in Luxembourg, as well as its two co-founders, represented ANKAA at this local market. They were selling various projects made in ANKAA: handmade wooden items, clothes, accessories, photographs, macramé and jewellery items, screenprinted notebooks and totebags.

ANKAA Inauguration

June 2019: Athens

The ANKAA Project was officially inaugurated in June 2019 in the presence of the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs and Minister of Immigration and Asylum of Luxembourg, Mr. Jean Asselborn, and the former Greek Minister of Immigration, Mr. Dimitrios Vitsas. A big thank you to Mr. Philippe Leclerc from UNHCR, the musicians of the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra, the EME Foundation, the Embassy of Luxembourg and all the other guests.

What we do not who we are - Exhibition

June 2019: Athens

The exhibition brought together the work of five artists: Khaled Jammoul, Nagwa Afanawi Neba, Rabe Risour, Moiz Salman and Omar Shammout. Each explores a different medium: from photography to calligraphy, to painting, metal work and sculpture. Though their expressions are varied, the artists share a common vision: building bridges. 

Fair Fashion Days

April 2019: Luxembourg

Over three days, ANKAA was present at the Fair Fashion Days in Luxembourg, presenting the project and selling products our students made in our tailor workshop and the screen-printing workshop.

All the products were created with up-cycled materials.

Raise your voice Festival

November 2018: Athens

At this festival against human trafficking, ANKAA had a stand at the pop-up market selling items from the tailor, jewellery and carpentry workshops. We also served cocktails, falafel and pasta. Our barber, Hamid, was cutting men’s hair at his mobile barber unit all day.
