ANKAA Project, a Luxembourgish and Greek non-profit organisation created in 2017, stands for equitable pathways towards education and employment.
Our approach is holistic and ranges from the delivery of educational programs to skills development in order to opening the path to the employment market.
Our social business model advocates for sustainable products created under fair and ethical working conditions.
As social and environmental challenges are interconnected, we include a positive approach towards the environment and the principles of circular economy in all our programs and activities.
WHAT WE DO
What does "ANKAA" mean?
The Ankaa star is the brightest star in the constellation of Phoenix, a symbol of rebirth, renewal and hope.
From Arabic and Latin roots, Ankaa stands for the 'star of the skiff', guiding the way for travellers of the sea.
Together we want to light a new path for travellers fleeing war and persecution, as they continue to write their stories and build their futures.

From boats to bags
Since June 2020, under the mimycri by ANKAA collaboration, we transform abandoned boats, with which migrants arrive on the coasts of Greece, into bags and backpacks, in hopes of sparking more dialogue about migration.
